The product is an Artificial Intelligence enabled Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AI-AUV) that can perform routine ships’ hull inspections anytime and anywhere, to detect rust marks, paint pitting, foreign objects and excessive biofouling autonomously. The AI model will capture data from the sensors (camera, sonar, etc.) and perform on-board real-time data analysis and transmit the data to observers that need to be notified of the ongoing inspection. Upon finalising the inspection, the model classifies the problems and grades them on the severity scale, generates an inspection report and creates a 3D map of the hull of the ship.
