Warren Laurence has worked in public health for 45 years, with 31 years as CIO of Hunter Health in its various nuance.
The Hunter New England region includes, 43 Hospitals and a full range of community based services.The Hunter New England area serves a population of close to 1 million and provide a full range of IT Services including application hosting, networks and telecommunications, desktop services, telehealth, patient administration and clinical application support.
It has a corporate systems architecture which is the same as NSW Health as well as a Clinical Systems Architecture which is non Cerner based.

John Sutherland is the Chief Information Officer of Ramsay Health Care.
Ramsay are an ASX20 listed company, operating 223 private hospitals across six countries employing 60,000 people, with revenue of $8.7 billion. Ramsay are the largest private hospital organisation outside of the United States. In terms of his approach to the role at Ramsay, John is focused on supporting our clinicians’ connectedness, patients’ experience and employees’ performance while maintaining the highest standard of clinical care and quality outcomes for their customers.
With 25 years’ business experience working in both the United Kingdom and Australia, John has held various roles across a range of industries including civil engineering, aerospace, manufacturing and distribution, contract research, construction, government, telecommunications, retail, life sciences and most recently, healthcare.
John served the nation for ten years in the Australian Army Reserve, lectures third year undergraduate and post graduate students studying IT at Macquarie University and enjoys pottering in the garden in his spare time.

Bupa Health Foundation Australia
Annette Schmiede is the Executive Leader of the Bupa Health Foundation in Australia. She brings to this role a wealth of experience across Australia’s health and aged care sectors with a broad knowledge and deep understanding of their complex policy and funding environment. Her working experience includes health services research, health service planning, governance and policy development. She has held advisory and leadership roles across a range of public, private and non- government organizations. She is a Board member of the Northern Sydney Local Health District and is an Associate of the Menzies Centre for Health Policy at Sydney University.
