2024 Update on the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
Details
The Department of Finance aims to have a procurement system that Australians can have confidence in, that provides opportunities for Australian businesses and SMEs, and delivers value for money for taxpayers. The recent changes include increasing SME procurement targets, raising the SME exemption threshold, mandating SME quotes, introducing a First Nations flexibility allowance, and lowering the economic benefit assessment threshold. We are delighted to have Mr Gareth Sebar, Assistant Secretary of the Procurement Policy and Systems Branch, help members understand the latest updates to the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
