Cyber Security PAN
The Cyber Security PAN is a collaborative group of technology professionals focused on the strategic uplift of Australian Cyber Security capability by engaging with government, promoting community awareness and forging industry-led partnerships. Working in cooperation with policy makers, agencies and businesses, the Cyber Security PAN provides a forum to AIIA members which enables them to achieve outcomes conducive to supporting the continuing growth and capability of the Australian ICT industry as well as working in Australia’s national interest.
The Cyber Security PAN, founded in May 2022, functions as an expert advisory body within AIIA to:
- Advise and assist the AIIA in responding to cyber security issues in the Australian ICT industry
- Positively influence Australia’s cyber security policy development
- Uplift Australia’s cyber security capability at a community, business and government level
- Undertake advocacy activities in supporting the development of the cyber security talent pool, seeking alignment and streamlining of cyber security standards and regulation, promote consistency between state and territory governments and support international cyber and critical technology conversations
Cyber Security PALT
To support the AIIA’s policy and advocacy activities, PANs may choose to employ a Policy Advisory Leadership Team (PALT) structure. The PALTs are dedicated Executive groups, which have been convened to steer their respective PAN activities, and provide high-level guidance and oversight. The Cyber Security PALT was convened in mid-2022.
