Regional eHealth Innovation – Making it Real
VHOTEL REALM, 18 NATIONAL CIRCUIT, CANBERRA ACT 2600
Details
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) in association with Federation University Australia (FedUni), would like to extend an invitation for you to join them at the forthcoming event ‘Regional eHealth Innovation – Making it Real’.
The continued growth of the eHealth industry is enabling healthcare professionals and institutions to take a proactive approach to improving access to healthcare – particularly in rural and regional areas. Over time this will allow better targeting of scarce resources, leading to a reduction in inequality of health care services and an increase of healthier communities.
eHealth provides a basis for the better management of chronic conditions, an increased focus on disease management and prevention as well as enabling greater scope for research and development. The use of eHealth technologies and practices can also provide an evidence-based approach to confirming local needs, priority actions, advocacy etc.
With Ballarat’s population projected to increase by more than 30,000 over the next 15 years, the demands on the region’s health resources and infrastructure will also increase. As such, there is a rising need to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions that use world’s best practice in eHealth technology in order to improve patient outcomes across the Ballarat region.
Please join us to hear from a range of industry experts, to share your views on the topic of eHealth and the State and Federal eHealth directives and to learn more about the opportunities linked to Ballarat’s Maximising eHealth Technology project.
Featuring a keynote presentation by Michael Georgeff, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Precedence Health Care and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University.
