The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) in association with ICT Geelong (Geelong Region IT Network), would like to extend an invitation for you to join them at the forthcoming event ‘Regional eHealth Innovation – Making it Real’.
The continued growth of the e-Health industry is enabling healthcare professionals and institutions to take a proactive approach to improving access to health and care – particularly in rural and regional areas. Over time this will allow better targeting of scarce resources, leading to a reduction in inequality of health and care services and an increase of healthier communities.
e-Health provides a basis for the better management of chronic conditions, an increased focus on disease and disability management and health premotion as well as enabling greater scope for research and development. The use of e-Health technologies and practices can also provide an evidence-based approach to confirming local needs, priority actions and advocacy.
The Geelong region is being increasing seen as a leading centre for health and public health policy with the prominence of organisations like Barwon Health, St John of God, TAC, GMHBA, Disability Care (NDIS) and Deakin University
Please join us to hear from a range of industry experts on the topic of Regional e-health Innovation.
This event will feature presentations and panel session with:
