Friday, 26 June 2015

RACV Club – Club Pavilion Room, Level 2 – 501 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 Australia

Details

The Andrews Government has brought down its first budget and put the ICT focus squarely on initiatives that will directly benefit citizens, while virtually ignoring ‘back office’ ICT.

For ICT suppliers and agency representatives alike, understanding the full detail of the new Budget is imperative for strategic positioning. This briefing will:

  • Outline the ICT content, implications and key opportunities of Victoria’s 2015-16 Budget;
  • Feature a panel of senior government representatives – including Steve Hodgkinson – CIO, Department of Health & Human Services – which will address the hot topics and challenges; and
  • Provide networking opportunities between public servants and ICT industry leaders.

This value-packed event will foster cooperation and effective engagement between ICT suppliers and the Victorian Government:

  • Intermedium will provide analysis and insight relevant to both industry and agency representatives; and
  • Panellists will provide insight into current Government thinking.

Guest speaker Kym Peake will provide insight into:

  • the recent Victorian State Budget
  • the Premier’s priorities on state productivity, supported by the economic policies championed through your department
  • the Premier’s priorities on improved public sector service delivery to citizens, including government business transaction reform

Join us for this crucial opportunity to make the new Budget count for your organisation. Breakfast with your peers, network with your business partners, and prepare for success in 2015-16 and beyond.

This 1.5 hour long workshop will help SMEs enhance their understanding of how to engage with the Government to pursue budget funded opportunities.

The workshop will include a presentation by Intermedium as well as active participation by attendees to work through case studies. Workshop attendees will:

  • Receive a list of budget funded opportunities which can be used as a prospecting tool to identify opportunities relevant to their businesses
  • Use three 2015-16 budget initiatives as case studies to develop a clearer understanding of how to engage with the Government
  • Learn about what they need to be able to say and do to gain traction with the agency in regard to the opportunity (e.g. understanding the value for money perspective)

The workshop will run immediately following the Victorian Budget Briefing and will be held in the same room. All SMEs that purchased a ticket to the main event are entitled to attend the workshop.
