Free Information session: Government engagement and tendering practices
To help organisations of all sizes improve their government business practices, MIA Consulting Services will present a free information session about government engagement and tendering strategies on Monday 20 April, 2015 at Swinburne University’s Melbourne CBD campus (12pm at Level 2, 196 Flinders Street, Melbourne).
Ideal for both large organisations and small to medium enterprises, the information session will explore how to leverage existing government relationships most effectively, establish new connections, and increase chances of winning government tenders, proposals and grants.
Key topics presented will include:
- how to make sure you capture government’s attention and achieve the greatest return on your time investment
- how to approach and market your company and solutions to government
- how to respond to tenders more effectively (broken down into ten tips)
- how to make an unsolicited business proposal to government
- the impact of new government directions on government dealings
The session will be facilitated by MIA Consulting Services Principal, Deirdre Diamante, whose vast knowledge of government business practices is derived from over 15 years’ involvement in government tendering and awarding business.
The information session will introduce topics covered in Deirdre’s Complex Tender Writing and Creating Business Opportunities with Government workshops, currently offered through Swinburne University of Technology. Available now through the university’s career development initiative, it’s anticipated these units will provide a pathway to the Graduate Certificate in Applied Business in late 2015.
