The iAwards is Australia’s premier technology awards programme, honouring individuals and achievements in the development and integration of innovative technology across all facets of the Australian economy. 2014 is a significant year for the iAwards as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary and embark on exciting new initiatives.

The Digital Canberra 2014 iAwards event will recognise and celebrate high achieving members of the ACT ICT community, from both Government and Industry, as they compete across a range of categories for the opportunity to represent the ACT at the national iAwards finals in Melbourne this August. The Digital Canberra 2014 iAwards event are also being supported by the Canberra Business Council (CBC), the Australian National University (ANU), the University of Canberra (UC) and National ICT Australia (NICTA).

Invited speakers from the ACT Government and industry are still be confirmed and details will be provided shortly.

The long-term objective is for the iAwards Programme to be recognised and celebrated as the premier technology awards platform in Australia recognising and supporting the achievements and innovation made in ICT, and to promote trade from a more productive Australian business community through embracing innovation in technology.

The iAwards state finalists achieve national accolades at the awards dinner in Melbourne on 29 August and as iAwards Alumni reach international exposure through the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance [APICTA] Awards in November 2014.

  • Katy Gallagher MLA, Chief Minister of ACT, Minister for Health, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Higher Education, Member for Molonglo.
  • Dr Alexander Zelinsky, Chief Defence Scientist and head of the Defence Science and Technology Organisation.
