We welcome Professor Richard Constantine, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Information Services) and CIO at Flinders University, to our February Sundowner@SA. Richard won the SA and National CIO of the Year iAward in 2014 and has agreed to share with us the achievements that helped him win these iAwards and what winning the awards means to him.

Some highlights that Richard will cover: The challenges of directing the $multi-million turnaround of the Flinders University ICT environment.

Supporting E-Research as a critical partner for traditional researchers at Flinders by being the first SA University to have data of national significance on the South Australian Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI) node.

Managing the Student Virtual Hub, a project that will build a platform to deliver all student services irrespective of the students’ physical location.

Embracing eLearning in a challenging and fast changing academic landscape.

Richard will discuss aspects such as organisational development and change management techniques that underpin such substantial initiatives. And how he is helping Flinders rise to the opportunities and challenges of massively open on-line courses (MOOCs).
