The AIIA Queensland Council invite you to attend the November Cyber Security Luncheon with special keynote speaker Martin Holzworth, Head of Cyber & Risk, Super Retail Group. Martin will be joined by Chris Hockings, CTO, IBM Security Australia and New Zealand, Lani Refiti, Partner, Cyber Risk Advisory, Deloitte Australia, Dr. Malcolm Shore, CISO, Huawei and Nicole Murdoch, Principal, EAGLEGATE Lawyers.

Martin Holzworth
Head of Cyber & Risk, Super Retail Group
Martin is the Head of Cyber & Risk at Super Retail Group, where he has responsibility for cyber security and risk management across iconic brands Super Cheap Auto, BCF, Rebel Sport and Macpac.
Prior to SRG Martin worked in professional services for 25 years in a variety of advisory capacities covering Cyber, Risk, Architecture and Strategy for leading consulting organisations and systems integrators. Martin has worked predominately across the Retail, Healthcare and Financial Services industries in Australia, USA, UK, Europe and Asia, mostly focussed on transformation style engagements. A native of Brisbane, Martin is active in the IT industry including his role as Advisory Board member to the School of ICT at Griffith University.
Chris Hockings
CTO, IBM Security Australia and New Zealand
Chris Hockings is the CTO for IBM Security Australia and New Zealand, a brand that includes local R&D, sales and service delivery. The role encompasses:
Engaging with strategic public and private sector organisation leadership to drive new opportunities;
Deliver innovation within IBM Security A/NZ, combining engineering with the most acute cyber security challenges of clients to improve global products;
Represent IBM Security in industry relations activities including media, conferences, publications and announcements;
Supporting the business partner community.
Chris is CISSP certified, has 28 cyber security patants and travels weekly around the country. He maintains a single figure golf handicap.
Lani Refiti
Partner, Cyber Risk Advisory, Deloitte Australia
Lani Refiti is a leading authority on emerging technology and cybersecurity having spent 20 years in senior roles for leading organisations such as Intel Corporation, Cisco Systems and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and is currently a Partner, Cyber Risk Advisory at Deloitte Australia.
In 2016 Lani co-founded IoTSec Australia Inc and serves as it’s Chief Executive Officer to focus on the cybersecurity implications when developing solutions for smart cities, driverless / autonomous cars, smart health and AI.
As a sought after executive, Lani also serves on the advisory boards of Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce QLD (AICC) and Signature Films.
Lani is also the emerging tech subject matter expert on Channel 9 Queensland along with ABC Radio and speaks on emerging themes such as Smart Cities, Connected Transport, AI, cybersecurity and their impacts on society.
Dr. Malcolm Shore
CISO, Huawei
Dr. Shore also previously worked as New Zealand’s assistant director of Information Systems in Defence Headquarters, and for the Government Communications Security Bureau overseeing New Zealand’s information security.
While working for the government, Dr. Shore aided in the development of New Zealand, Australian, and ASEAN cybersecurity strategies.
Dr. Shore also served as technical director for CES Communications and for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Australia, giving him experience in communications encryption, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity testing.
Nicole Murdoch
Principal, EAGLEGATE Lawyers
Nicole is the Principal of EAGLEGATE Lawyers and a recommended Lawyer in the 2018 listing of Leading Queensland Intellectual Property Lawyers – Doyles Guide. Nicole is a AIIA Queensland Council member, a Director of the Australian Information Security Association, the only Australian on the AIPPI Trade Secret Standing Committee and the immediate past QLD Chairperson of IPSANZ.
Nicole is an IP lawyer, Electrical Engineer and Trade Marks Attorney. She acts in information theft cases to prepare clients for data breaches to reduce the chances of fines by the privacy commissioner, assists clients on legal compliance with the Privacy Act and upon a data breach, provides advice in respect of mandatory data breach notifications, conducts civilian search orders to retrieve data and prosecutes insider threat actors.
Nicole’s legal experience also includes trade mark, patent, copyright and domain name commercial advice and litigation and associated misleading and deceptive conduct, confidential information and passing off disputes.
