AIIA NSW Healthcare Special Interest Group (SIG) are pleased to confirm that Dr Zoran Bolevich, Chief Executive Officer, eHealth NSW, will once again give his annual update on the NSW eHealth strategy and on progress with key projects since last year’s event.
Dr Zoran Bolevich will be joined by Mark Cope, Executive Director, Program Delivery, as well as Andrew Perkins who is Director of Strategy and Architecture.
This will be an exceptional opportunity to hear updates from Zoran and some of his key staff, both on the major current initiatives, and on the upcoming work program following the recent Government announcement of substantial additional funding over the next several years.

Dr Zoran Bolevich
Chief Executive and Chief Information Officer
eHealth NSW
A trained doctor with a passion for ICT, Zoran brings to eHealth NSW broad experience in a range of senior health management and ICT leadership roles in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining eHealth NSW, Zoran has worked at the Ministry of Health as Executive Director for Health System Information and Performance Reporting and, most recently, as Acting Deputy Secretary for System Purchasing and Performance. Across the Tasman, Zoran spent several years leading a regional shared services agency for District Health Boards and, after that, took up a role with New Zealand’s Ministry of Health where he was responsible for the national health information strategy and architecture.
He is a member of the eHealth Executive Council, the peak ICT committee for NSW Health, which is responsible for setting eHealth strategy, advising on eHealth policy and standards, monitoring performance and ensuring effective project delivery within a whole of NSW Health context. Since joining eHealth NSW in July, Zoran has focused on building on current areas of strength, streamlining governance of eHealth’s key programs and activities as well as progressing the development of new eHealth strategy. As well as a medical degree, Zoran holds a Masters of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
Mark Cope
Executive Director, Program Delivery
eHealth NSW
Mark joined eHealth NSW in early 2016 and leads the Program Delivery directorate, with the brief of ensuring NSW Local Health Districts have the capabilities to provide a digitally-enabled health system delivering integrated, patient-centred care that supports improved health outcomes.
Mark’s scope with Program Delivery covers both the eHealth Clinical and Infrastructure Portfolios. The key clinical programs include: a statewide electronic medical record (eMR), including eMeds, the electronic record for intensive care (eRIC) and the HealtheNet and Integrated Care programs, providing a platform for truly integrated care across all health services and systems. The key Infrastructure programs include: the statewide Information Communication Technology (ICT) to support frontline clinical and corporate initiatives for NSW Health. The Directorate also includes the Rural eHealth Program.
Mark brings more than 20 years of experience in transformational program and project delivery within large and complex environments in the UK and Australia, including the UK’s Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Justice, the NSW Attorney General’s Department and the British Chamber of Commerce. He has a strong track record of establishing, governing and running large change programs through broad stakeholder engagement, effective leadership and collaboration.
He is a graduate of the Major Projects Leadership Academy at the University of Oxford Saïd Business School, holds a Masters in International Relations and is an AIPM-accredited program director at level 6.
Andrew Perkins
Executive Director: Investment Strategy & Architecture
eHealth NSW
Andrew is the Executive Director of Investment, Strategy & Architecture at eHealth NSW, a dedicated health IT agency responsible for planning, implementation and support of the largest digital health program in Australia – the digital transformation of NSW Health.
Since joining eHealth NSW in 2015, Andrew has focused on development of the eHealth Strategy for NSW Health: 2016- 2026 and associated investment prioritisation, business cases and enterprise architecture strategies and governance for ICT solutions across NSW Health.
Prior to joining eHealth NSW, Andrew spent over 15 years in the ICT consulting industry working on numerous high-profile and complex transformation projects with healthcare organisations in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Andrew’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Victoria, Canada.
