The Healthcare Industry has undoubtedly made real inroads into digitising business processes through innovative projects such as:

  • Electronic medical records
  • Electronic medication management
  • My Health record

And yet there is a lingering sense that we are not making satisfactory progress, most hospitals and large clinics still have significant people and costs tied up in;

  • Historic patient records and paper based archive facilities that cost hundreds of thousands yearly
  • Patient admission forms and processes
  • Mail sorting centres
  • Paper-based Procurement and contracts

Come and hear from Warren Laurence, CIO, Hunter New England LHD and John Sutherland, CIO, Ramsay Health Care discuss the challenges hospitals are facing with eHealth program rollouts and what programs they are actually adopting to digitise these heavy paper based functions.
