To kick off 2019 we have invited prominent rural Local Health District Executives to give our members an update on what is key to their district for the year ahead.

As we all know, there are many major programs of work underway across all districts in NSW. This briefing will focus on the particular challenges of the districts which serve the rural population of NSW.

Our speakers will bring us up to date with how they cope with these major projects across large geographic areas without having the staffing resources of the metro areas, whilst continuing to deliver quality care to patients.

They will also explore the changing face of ICT in healthcare, as it moves from being historically a back-office function towards delivering front-line support 24×7. This change raises major funding and staffing sustainability challenges that all LHDs are currently confronting.

The presenters will join our equally prominent MC, Dr Tim Smyth for a Q&A panel where you will be able to ask your questions not covered in the presentation or questions you have been wanting to ask but haven’t yet had the opportunity.
