For the final 2018 AIIA Health briefing, we have invited individuals from private hospitals to speak to you.
2017 saw a range of smaller facilities change hands and several new builds well underway around the country, not least being the Northern Beaches hospital. The ICT demands for private hospitals can be very different to that of public health, particularly due to the very different funding model that exists. Nonetheless the pressure to support the needs of the clinical workforce remain front and centre.
2017 also saw increasing tension with the insurers who are using big data tools to review far more closely payments to private hospital groups, not all of whom have the clinical data to support the analytics needed.
Finally, the topic of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in NSW seems to have cooled somewhat with Maitland now being entirely public run. What do private hospital providers think about this decision?
Our expert panel will discuss all these points and more at the final AIIA health briefing for 2018 – join us for what promises to be an insightful session for anybody working with the private health sector.
