Join us for the June AIIA NSW Health Briefing with special guest speaker Bettina McMahon, Chief Operating Officer, Government & Industry Collaboration, Strategy & Delivery, Australian Digital Health Agency.
Ms McMahon will speak to us about how we will achieve the vision in the National Digital Health Strategy by 2022.
After speaking with over 3000 people and receiving over 1000 written submissions last year, the Agency developed a National Digital Health Strategy that was agreed by all Health Ministers in late 2017.
Implementation of the Strategy will commence in July 2018, and the Agency has co-developed an implementation plan with governments, industry and the broader community. Bettina will share with us the insights the Agency has gained through this process, including what areas of the Strategy are of highest priority for the technology industry, the healthcare sector and other groups. She will also provide an advance briefing on the implementation plan – the Framework for Action – which will be formally launched later in June.
Bettina will also give us an update on the move to “Opt-out” – considered by many to be the crucial requirement to drive further uptake of the My Health Record. Bettina will share with us the Agency’s plans for the launch and the management of the key messages the Agency will be promoting and the Agency’s approach to go to market on re-platforming the My Health Record system after the current National Infrastructure Operator contract ends in 2020.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the Agency about the approach taken and opportunities for industry. In addition to the formal presentations, there will be plenty of time for questions.
