The Federal & ACT Council of the AIIA are delighted to have the newly appointed Chief Information Officer at the Department of Industry, Mr Matthew Boyley as the special guest speaker at the August Canberra Manager’s Forum.
Matthew represents a new generation of CIO that has worked their way through the ranks of the public service and brings the experience from diverse roles across both State and Commonwealth Government. Most recently as CIO at the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency and before that as CIO at the Department of Resources Energy and Tourism.
During his address, Matthew will provide a brief history of his rapid rise to his current role, step the audience through the challenges of the last 18 months of Machinery of Government changes followed by the future for the Department of Industry, their role within Government and a discussion on ICT trends across Government at a very disruptive time for the service. Matthew will also take questions.
