The NDIS is the most significant social reform since the introduction of Medicare, and is a world first of its kind. In the May Federal Budget, the Government announced funding for the Full Scheme NDIS ICT capability which will transition from DSS to DHS. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency whose role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and careers. This will be a joint presentation by Marie Johnson and Gary Sterrenberg about the far reaching vision of technology and innovation to deliver the NDIS, and the generation of an ecosystem of technology providers and standards.
