April Canberra Managers Forum with Susan Monkley, Deputy CEO and CIO of the Shared Services Centre (SSC)
The Federal and ACT Council of the Australian Information Industry Association is delighted to have Susan Monkley, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Information Officer of the Shared Services Centre (SSC), a joint initiative between the partner departments of Education and Employment, address the April Canberra Manager’s Forum luncheon.
In her address, Susan will discuss Change and the Shared Services opportunity.
The Shared Services Centre (SSC) is possibly a first for the APS and set against a backdrop of public sector funding reductions and continuous restructuring, it’s an opportunity born of change.
The opportunities and the challenges are indivisible: we must deliver professional, efficient and reliable services to our partner departments of Education and Employment and other customers so they can focus on their core business; and we must also build professional capability and leadership in the provision of shared services across the APS.
This will demand new ways of working, and a business development and customer focus that takes us down new paths. It will also require greater collaboration across the public sector and with the SSC’s strategic partners.
