Market Entry Strategies for Aussie Technology Companies
Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and Austrade have partnered to host a series of monthly webinars to help Australian tech businesses access new ASEAN markets.
In December 2022, the webinar will focus on India.
Technology and innovation are amongst the most sought-after sectors in India. FY2022 has been a spectacular year of India’s technology industry; it recorded a 15.5% growth (highest ever) to reach A$324 Bn in revenue. A combination of digital and innovation was the industry’s winning formula.
Digital India is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. A combination of this programme and the promulgation of smart phones have led to a remarkable transformation of the economy.
Because of this, India should be top of mind for technology companies in Australia. Australian commercial interests in this sector are supported by the recent Australia-India Economic Cooperation Agreement (AI-ECTA), and the Australian Govt’s India Economic Strategy to 2035.
Additionally, India represents one of the largest talent pools available to technology firms, with hundreds of thousands of qualified engineers, coders and developers entering the workforce each year. Australian firms that have already invested in establishing a presence in India are now benefiting from this talent, to support expansion across the globe.
Join this Global Tech Series India special and learn the competitive edge of India and find out how top Australian firms like ANZ Bank, Atlassian and Telstra are supporting their global growth ambitions from India and discover what makes India the most attractive emerging market for digital technologies.
