Global Tech Webinar – Malaysia
Details
Austrade, in partnership with AIIA, have been delivering the Global Tech Webinar series with a focus on identifying opportunities in emerging ASEAN markets. This 10-session series provides Australian tech companies with local insights to navigate new markets and gain practical tools to capture opportunities in digital trade.
In September, we focus on the Malaysian market. Malaysia is ranked 27th in the World Digital Competitiveness Index, ranked 2nd in the ASEAN region and is noted for its ease of business, robust digital infrastructure and large digitally literate population.
Through the MyDigital Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint, Malaysia is looking to drive digital transformation in the public sector, boost economic competitiveness through digitalisation and build enabling infrastructure such as 5G. Additionally, the government has launched the Malaysia Digital initiative to help make Malaysia a globally recognised tech hub by offering financial incentives to foreign tech investors and service providers.
Australia and Malaysia signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2021 and both governments see the development of the Digital Economy as an integral part of the relationship. Both countries are working closely to support Australian and Malaysian technology businesses to enter our respective markets.
In this webinar, you’ll:
- Learn about the opportunities and current digital landscape in Malaysia
- Hear from Australian companies from the IoT and Fintech sector about their journey in Malaysia
- Explore market entry programs for tech solution providers with Malaysia’s central research and innovation commercialisation agency, the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI)
Please note that tickets are now available for this event.
