The D2D CRC is a cooperative research and development initiative help Australia’s defence and security agencies build a safer more secure nation. The application of “big data” techniques is central to this effort. In this presentation, we will draw some interesting analogies between the work undertaken by the CRC to build a safer nation, and the technology used to answer some of the most pressing questions in popular culture.
