Business & Industry Solution of the Year

LX

Andromeda is the next generation of ultra-low power, low cost tracking. This device is making accurate, reliable GPS tracking available to everyone, from individuals and small businesses to enterprise users. Through its hybrid connectivity, Andromeda allows you to track goods, containers and vehicles even in areas without existing cellular or LTE-M coverage. When no LTE-M network is available, Andromeda utilises it's connection to the Myriota network of low-orbit nano satellites to resolve and upload its geolocation. For a battery powered device, of this size that can be fitted to both powered and unpowered assets, Andromeda is a unique proposition for increasing visibility and accountability across a supply chain.

Start Up Solution of the Year

SAPIIENT Advanced Technologies

The product is an Artificial Intelligence enabled Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AI-AUV) that can perform routine ships’ hull inspections anytime and anywhere, to detect rust marks, paint pitting, foreign objects and excessive biofouling autonomously. The AI model will capture data from the sensors (camera, sonar, etc.) and perform on-board real-time data analysis and transmit the data to observers that need to be notified of the ongoing inspection. Upon finalising the inspection, the model classifies the problems and grades them on the severity scale, generates an inspection report and creates a 3D map of the hull of the ship.

Not For Profit and Community Solution of the Year

Government & Public Sector Solution of the Year

City of Sydney Council

The City transformed the management and access to over 1 million archives and history resources, rationalising thirteen outdated systems into a single innovative user-centred digital solution that has been embraced by its communities. The project achieved a simple, easy to use, solution that connects people to the information they seek. Similar projects elsewhere often fail to reconcile a user-friendly experience with the underlying complexity of archives data structures.

Technology Platform Solution of the Year

CSIRO’s Data61 and Cyber Security CRC (CSCRC)

Smart Shield is a human-centric approach to the pressing cyber-security issue of phishing. Smart Shield is a machine learning (ML)-based system that can proactively detect phishing emails, and continuously learn to improve its performance. Unlike competing technologies which use exact matching techniques, it understands the characteristics of regular and phishing emails and uses them to detect new phishing emails.
