Women’s and Children’s Hospital
The Child and Adolescent Virtual Urgent Care Service is a positive initiative that enables consumers to have first contact with a clinician at home and receive expert clinical advice on where to go for care and when. Parents and caregivers use an online risk screening form in the comfort of their own home to identify if the virtual service is safe for their child. If they are deemed appropriate for this service, they will be connected via the HealthDirect telehealth platform to the virtual service clinicians who have expertise in paediatric emergencies and urgent care needs.
