Rebecca Brown PSM
Director General
Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation
Rebecca Brown commenced as Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) in September 2018. In this role, she is also Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Western Australia.
Ms Brown led significant change across JTSI to modernise the agency to become critical in advancing State Government’s key policy agendas. Through her leadership, JTSI has played an increasingly key role in growing local jobs and diversifying the State’s industry base and export potential.
The department plays an important role in supporting government strategy in leveraging the broader research, science, and innovation community to advance outcomes for Western Australia.
Ms Brown was appointed Acting Director General of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet from March 2020 to May 2021 to support the State Government’s early response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms Brown was awarded a Public Sector Medal for her for outstanding leadership in relation to Western Australia’s management and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She returned to her role as Director General of JTSI in June 2021.
Ms Brown has worked for both Federal and State government agencies in a range of senior roles across revenue and economic policy, social policy, resourcing, and performance.
She has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Western Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Greg Italiano
Government Chief Information Officer
Department of the Premier and Cabinet
Greg was appointed to the role of Government Chief Information Officer in December 2018. Prior to taking up the appointment he was the Executive Director of Corporate Services in the Department of Justice.
Greg has over 16 years of public sector experience and has worked in several senior executive roles, including in the WA Police and the Departments of Health, Justice, and Treasury. He has planned and delivered on a range of reforms, including those for which ICT was a key enabling component.
Greg has a Bachelor of Business and a BA Hons in Politics and Government and is an alumnus of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government Executive Fellows Program.
Kate Ingham
Deputy Director General
Department of Finance
Kate Ingham was appointed Deputy Director General Advisory Services in October 2020, having held the role of Director Strategic Advisory Services since April 2014. She has extensive procurement and policy experience across the Western Australian public sector having worked at the State Supply Commission, been a member of the State Tender Review Committee and conducted procurement reviews for the Office of the Auditor General and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. She started her public sector career as a Graduate Officer with the then Department of Treasury and Finance and is a member of the Finance Alumni Network.
Kate is passionate about elevating performance by focussing on people. She cultivates talent by developing cohesive work environments that empower and unite teams.
In her spare time, Kate is a keen horse enthusiast and competitive rider. She has eventing experience at National level and has coordinated horsing events across Western Australia
Kate has a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics and Finance, and Master of Business Administration, Strategic Procurement from Curtin University and is an Alumni of Leadership WA.
Camilla Galbraith
Director, Industry Development
Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Industry
Camilla Galbraith is the Director of Industry Development responsible for the Digital Industries Acceleration Strategy. She has extensive experience across the Western Australian public sector including leading strategy development for Diversify WA, overseeing major transport infrastructure investment including METRONET projects and has represented WA in national policy and project negotiations. In addition to JTSI, Camilla has worked at the Departments of Transport, Treasury, Premier and Cabinet.
Camilla is focussed on finding novel ways for Government to support industry and the community. She has first-hand experience living and working in regional WA and running a small business which provide her with a unique understanding of the needs of Western Australians.
Camilla has a Bachelor of Economics (triple major) and is an Alumni of Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
Darren Mottolini
Program Director Spatial WA
Landgate
Darren Mottolini is the Director for Spatial WA, a whole of Government Program to implement a connected advanced spatial digital twin for the State of Western Australia. His career has spanned both private and public sector, providing strategy and consulting services for the implementation of data systems and analytics in mining, transport, asset management, public services, and environmental sectors. He is a board member of the Geospatial Council of Australia and is an active advocate for improving how location data is used as enabler for digital transformation, supporting Government and industry to realise the potential for place-based decision making.
