Keynote SpeakerHon. Victor Dominello MPMinister for Innovation and Better Regulation, NSW Department of Finance, Services & Innovation Victor was born and raised in the Ryde area. He went to secondary school at Marist Brothers, Eastwood before studying law at university. He trained as a lawyer and was admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 1991 after taking the Solicitor’s Admission Board Examinations. He worked as a lawyer for 14 years, including eight years as a partner in a commercial law firm, where he represented clients in a number of landmark cases. In 1995, at the age of 28, Victor was elected as a Councillor of Ryde City Council. He was re-elected in 1999 and remained on Council until 2004. Victor was pre-selected by the Liberal Party in September 2008 as its candidate for the State by-election in the seat of Ryde. Victor was elected to the NSW Parliament with a swing of 23.1 per cent, one of the largest in the State’s history, at the by-election held on 18 October 2008.Victor served on the Public Accounts Committee, the Independent Commission Against Corruption Committee, and represented the Opposition Leader, Mr Barry O’Farrell as a Trustee of the Anzac Memorial. At the March 2011 general election, Victor was re-elected as the Member for Ryde with an additional 12.6 per cent of the vote. This completed a 35.7 per cent swing from the 2007 election. On 3 April 2011, Victor was sworn in as the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and the Minister for Citizenship and Communities. His portfolio responsibilities include veterans’ affairs, volunteering and youth and multicultural affairs (under the auspices of the Multicultural NSW). Following the appointment of Mike Baird as NSW Premier in April 2014, Victor was appointed Assistant Minister for Education and while retaining his existing portfolio responsibilities, Veterans’ Affairs was added to his official title. Following the Baird Government’s re-election in March 2015, Victor was sworn in as the state’s first Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation. In his current role Victor is responsible for the Office of Fair Trading, the NSW Government’s ICT Strategy as well as leading a range of open data, open government, data analytics and innovation initiatives. Prior to his parliamentary career, Victor cherished the opportunity to travel to many places around the world and looks back fondly on his experiences in India, Central and South America, Europe, the US and Asia. He is also a passionate supporter of the West Tigers Rugby League Team. | |
Keynote SpeakerTiziana BiancoHead of Global Innovation Labs, CommBank Tiziana Bianco heads up the global Innovation Lab network at the Commonwealth Bank. Her role is to best position the Group’s innovative capability, products and services for consumer, business and institutional clients. This includes the incubation of new ideas, the experimentation of different business models and technologies and the testing of new concepts through working with and alongside the innovation ecosystem. In addition to helping drive business performance and solution innovation, Tiziana and her team work closely with the sales and product teams to embed core innovation capabilities and continue to build understanding of CommBank’s successful innovation story. This is done through the demonstration of our commitment to creating and embedding the capability required to have a strong innovative culture. Since joining the Commonwealth Bank in 2008, Tiziana has held a variety of roles and has contributed to strategic initiatives, projects, product development and launches across the organisation. Previously, Tiziana was a management consultant at Capgemini Australia, with primary expertise in large scale transformational programmes, from strategy through to implementation within the financial services, retail and telecommunication sectors. Prior to moving to Australia, Tiziana spent time at ING DIRECT, Canada with a predominate focus on customer experience initiatives. |
