Details

Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and Austrade have partnered to host a series of monthly webinars to help Australian tech businesses access new ASEAN markets.

In October, the webinar will focus on the Indonesian market, with the theme “Capturing Indonesia’s digital opportunities”. We’ve invited an exciting line-up of speakers and presenters to talk about market opportunities and share their experience and insights: including Australia’s Trade Commissioner for technology to Indonesia, experts in the Indonesian technology sector and Australian businesses who have been successful in market.

Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world. It has experienced large-scale growth in the digital economy, and digitisation more broadly, over the past decade. Increasing internet penetration, growing internet users and exponential growth in ecommerce are only a few examples of this growth, driving broad-based demand for digital solutions, cybersecurity, and data infrastructure. Growing financial literacy and financial inclusion, and initiatives to drive digitisation of financial services, payments and banking, are further unlocking opportunities for technology solutions.

In addition to this, the regulatory environment for digital technology, across sectors, has evolved significantly in the last few years, including for technology adoption in financial services, digital banking, e-commerce and consumer-facing services and public data.

In this webinar, you will:

  • Learn about the current digital landscape, challenges and opportunities in Indonesia
  • Get an update on the regulatory environment in the digital tech space in Indonesia
  • Get advice on practical ways to enter the market and hear about the lessons learnt from some organisations that have had success in the Indonesian market.
