What do we never want to talk about but everyone must know?

Taxation

EY – http://www.ey.com/AU/en/Home

Maria Jadric (Executive Director) and Edward (Ed) Le Quesne (Director) lead the commercial Tax practice at EY in Canberra.

They provide support for commercial organisations in Canberra and the region around all matters tax. The big issue in Canberra at the moment is the amended payroll legislation that comes into effect on 1 January 2015. This change has the potential to impact many SME’s and contractors in the ICT sector.

SME’s in particular need to be very conscious of their responsibilities under State and Territory legislation as the potential impact of non-compliance can be significant.

Maria and Ed will lead a discussion on this and the broader taxation implications of contracting.

We will also be providing an update on the findings of the recent member Survey and of course highlight the collaborative opportunities members of our community provide in Five Minutes of Fame. So come and find out why they are, just maybe, the right collaboration partners for you.

Make sure you bring plenty of business cards because this is the networking event for the ICT community in Canberra.
