Overview

While health systems around the world are beginning to normalise in the post-COVID pandemic period, technology and patient care has changed significantly. To provide insights and the future of healthcare delivery, the AIIA welcomes two thought-leaders in the industry, Alastair McDonald (SA Health) and Richard Taggart (Calvary Care). Alastair and Richard will provide perspectives across public and private health, respectively, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and support our members to address the needs of the health sector. This event is encouraged for existing and prospective suppliers to the healthcare sector.

Adjunct Associate Professor Richard Taggart is the National Director of Information Technology and Digital at Calvary Care, where he leads a team of specialist health IT professionals managing systems across Calvary’s network of hospitals, aged care, and community health services. Richard has 20 years’ experience in health, with a background in pharmacy and health informatics. He was most recently Chief Information Officer at Sydney Local Health District and has also worked for Apple. Richard is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Digital Health and a Fellow of the Facility of Clinical Informatics in the UK.
