Kieron McGarry

A/Chief Digital Health Officer | Digital Health Solutions, Western Sydney Local Health District

Kieron is currently, the Acting Chief Digital Health Officer for Western Sydney Local Health District where he leads the Digital Health Services team, supporting both day to day operations and the delivery of critical business enablement programs.

He is on secondment from eHealth NSW, where Kieron’s role is as Director, Technology and Customer Service within the eHealth NSW Service Delivery directorate.

Kieron joined eHealth NSW in 2014, and prior to that held various IT leadership and executive positions in the private sector in Australia and Europe.

Michael Dickinson

Acting Director, Clinical Integration, The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) Australia

Michael is the Acting Director of Clinical Integration for The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) Australia. Michael has 27 years health experience, including roles in Nursing, Education, Information Technology and Health Services Management within LHD’s and eHealth.

Key responsibilities currently include Clinical leadership for e-health Strategy and Adoption, clinical data collections, analytics, Activity Based Funding (ABF), and Efficiency and Revenue sustainability. Recent work includes the integration of Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead eMR into one state based paediatric eMR, planning and commissioning the new “digitally integrated, central acute services building due to open in Oct 2020, research into efficiency, safety and cost of EMR implementations, use of patient/parent facing health technology in the paediatric setting, and delivery of the ‘MEMORY strategy, a child health record, for life’.

Michael has a Diploma in Applied Science, a Bachelor of Nursing, a Paediatric Nursing Certificate, a Post Grad Diploma in Business Computing, and is a graduate of the NSW Health Senior Executive development program.

Richard Taggart

ICT Services, Sydney Local Health District

Richard Taggart is Chief Information Officer at Sydney Local Health District with responsibility for ICT Services in its hospitals and health services.

Richard has worked in healthcare IT in the UK, Singapore and Australia and has a background in pharmacy and health informatics. Prior to joining SLHD, Richard was Healthcare Lead for Australia and New Zealand for Apple.
