AIIA Exporters Club – ICT Business in the USA: Slaying the Giant!

Thursday, 05 December 2013

}12:00am

INVESTMENT CENTRE VICTORIA, LEVEL 46 – 55 COLLINS ST, MELBOURNE, VIC 3000

Details

The United States of America is the world’s largest economy; in 2012, US GDP exceeded US$15.6 trillion. Australia’s second largest services export market (after China), with services exports of over $5 billion dollars annually, the USA is our third largest two-way trading partner, and our largest foreign investor. The AUSFTA, in place since 2005, specifically locks in access to US markets for Australian service providers and includes a framework to promote the mutual recognition of professional services.

There can be no denying the value of the USA as an export market for Australian ICT and the AIIA Exporter Club – in association with the Export Council of Australia (ECA) and supported by the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation (DSDBI) – is delighted to present a panel discussion on doing business in the USA.

In a lively discussion, our experts will tackle questions around:

  • The practicalities of trading in and with the US
  • Immigration
  • Tax & the cost of doing business

With this being our last Exporter Club event for 2013, you will also have the opportunity to bid farewell to this year over a drink and a nibble while you network with colleagues.

Panellist

  • Simon Goodrich, General Manager, Portable Australia
  • Noah Klug, Senior Lawyer, Nevett Ford Lawyers
  • Simon le Maistre, Tax Partner Private Enterprise, KPMG
