Six Australian iAward National winners have taken their innovations all the way to the 2023 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards – and all have returned as winners or merit recipients.

The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) was thrilled with the success of Australian innovators at the 2023 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards in Hong Kong, saying it’s a testament to the high calibre of Australian innovation and the ability of its iAwards program to unearth tech excellence.

“Every year we see Australian innovators raise the bar with outstanding entries into iAwards at a State and National level, and then at APICTA,” says AIIA CEO Simon Bush. “This not only shows the exponential growth of Australia’s digital ecosystem over the past three decades that the iAwards have been running, but also points to the huge potential of Australia’s innovation and technological spaces.”

“Many Australian organisations are developing world-leading innovations that have the power to help educate, connect, and improve the lives of others. Given the strength of entries last year, we’re very excited about what might be unearthed at the 2024 iAwards when entries soon open.”

iAwards: An “incredible” personal and professional journey

Digital innovations will continue to drive Australia’s economic growth for many years to come, and the AIIA and its iAwards program helps support these innovators as they navigate their journeys from idea to start-up, all the way up to commercial enterprise.

“Whether you’re an individual, a business or a student, I encourage you to enter the iAwards,” Mr Bush says. “It’s an incredible journey with huge personal and professional benefits for every participant.”

The AIIA notes that while the iAwards recognise and applaud commercial achievements, the iAwards are particularly focused on those discoveries that make the world a better place.
