Entries to the iAwards 2023 are open!

The iAwards is Australia’s longest running and most broadly scoped innovation recognition program, promoting excellence in the Australian digital ecosystem from the likes of Google Maps, Atlassian, Wotif and WiseTech Global.

The 2023 iAwards is a unique opportunity for entrants to showcase their innovation, and to grow and expand their business for international success. The iAwards have rewarded and unearthed transformative innovations in health, science, engineering, environment, medicine, sport and many other industries.

Past iAwards innovations include the world’s first modular self-fit hearing aid; robots that write their own code; an artificially intelligent shark detection system using drones; and a VR treatment platform for spider phobia.

30 years of innovation

This year will be an extra special event, as the AIIA marks 30 years iAwards, says AIIA chief executive Simon Bush.

“The AIIA is thrilled to open-up entries to the 2023 iAwards and showcase innovation from the best and brightest across the country. For the past 29 years, the iAwards have unearthed Australian innovation that makes a positive and transformative impact on people, and the way we work and live. We’re excited to celebrate the 30th year of the iAwards and showcase Australia’s best innovators.

Entry is simple and free

The submission process has deliberately been kept simple and free to ensure the iAwards are accessible to everyone. Just simply record a short video (using a smartphone is fine) in which the innovator answers four key questions about their innovation.

  • What is the opportunity that your solution enables and for whom?
  • How is your solution different?
  • What is the technology that powers your solution?
  • How is your solution making (or will make) an impact?
