Start your day by joining the AIIA and AustralianSuper at this Business@Sunrise International Women’s Day breakfast for an opportunity to gain insights from Liz Slavin, Head of Organisational Development at AustralianSuper covering AustralianSuper’s diversity, equity and inclusion policy and her own personal leadership journey.

Sam Parker, Client Lead for Public Sector at WalkMe will moderate a panel discussion with Liz Slavin, Nadine ‘Noodles’ Groves, AIIA board director and founder of Stand Tall and Own It; and Georgia King-Siem who leads KPMG’s national R&D tax technical team to explore this year’s IWD theme, “Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment” and how reshaping systems and removing barriers will pave the way for women and girls to unlock their full potential and build better financial futures for us all.

Liz Slavin

Head of Organisation Development and Planning

AustralianSuper

Liz Slavin is the Head of Organisational Development & Planning within the Culture & Colleagues (C&C) domain.

This team is responsible for Colleague governance and planning, C&C strategy and business management, C&C policies, first line risk and has carriage of the Fund’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy. Also, within the team’s remit is input into fund-wide strategic projects, such as target operating model review, mergers and acquisition activity and organisational redesigns. The team also supports strategic workforce planning.

Liz holds both a Bachelor of Law and Arts, and a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations. Liz has been with the Fund for over two years more recently, but previously worked with the AustralianSuper as a C&C business partner for the investment’s domain.

Georgia King-Siem

Partner

KPMG

Georgia is a Partner in the Accelerating Business Growth practice where she specialises in assisting clients with understanding and accessing government funding (R&D incentives, grants, etc.) and commercial strategy. She has a strong focus on technology-based innovation and leads KPMG’s national R&D tax technical team. Georgia’s focus on policy and implementation has seen her involved in Government consultations on legislation and guidance relevant to innovation (especially as applicable to technology-based industries). Georgia’s client base ranges from early-stage startups through to some of Australia’s largest ASX 200 companies.

A fully qualified lawyer and a member of the Victorian Bar, Georgia advises on IT and privacy related matters. She has consulted to government and private industry on policy, information privacy law, information management and IT security. Georgia has also been involved in Liberty Victoria (civil liberties), Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (cancer research), Stone & Chalk (national non-profit innovation hub) and EnergyLab (national non-profit cleantech accelerator).

Nadine ‘Noodles’ Groves

Noodles is the founder of advisory and empowerment start-up Stand Tall And Own It with over 20 years experience as a female technology leader across start-ups, corporates and large multinationals including Optus, Vocus and most recent role as Head of Victoria and Tasmania Public Sectors, Google Cloud. 

A bubbly, collaborative, passionate and curious individual focussed on digital skills advocacy, diversity and culture building to drive a thriving society. Noodles is a Motorsport Australia official organising and officiating off-road car rallies, championing young driver education through grassroots gravel motorsport and an avid porphyrophile. 

Noodles is a former AIIA Victorian Council Member, this coupled with her Noodley experience is helping to build a prosperous future for AIIA Members of today and tomorrow.

Sam Parker

Client Lead Public Sector

WalkMe

Sam is the Client lead for Public Sector at WalkMe. With over 25 years in the IT industry Sam is an energetic and optimistic believer in technology in the service of people. Sam has worked for industry leading organisations including Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, IBM and Oracle. Sam likes to describe her superpower as being able to explain technical things in simple, business terms.

Sam chairs the AIIA’s Victorian Government Policy Advisory Network.
