Recently approved by the Government, and foreshadowed at the recent AIIA Government Supplier Networking Forum, The Hon Gavin Jennings, Special Minister of State will officially launch the IT Strategy for Victoria on Thursday 12 May at an exclusive AIIA lunch.
The Strategy will outline how the Victorian Government will transform operations and service delivery through the use of technology.
The AIIA is pleased to partner with the Department of Premier and Cabinet to support the launch of a significant policy agenda, the IT strategy for the Victorian Government for the next 5 years.
This Strategy is aligned to key priorities underscored by the Andrews government, such as responding to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence, integrating services and infrastructure and growing smart, high value jobs across the State of Victoria.
The IT strategy launch will provide the foundation for partnership and collaboration with digital service providers and industry engagement with a focus on:
- Open information and shared data to improve decision making and service delivery
- Leveraging the opportunity to engage with communities and businesses
- Technology systems transformation to equip the Victorian Government for the future
- Empowering the public sector with new and smart ways of delivering services to Victorians
