Details

We know from hearing our members that you are always looking for answers to the tricky questions of Government procurement, and this can only be solved by being a part of the dialogue. We also hear from Government stakeholders wanting greater ability to engage with Industry.

This will be a very special event facilitated by AIIA and the South Australian Government to promote 2-way engagement between Government and Industry and allow each to navigate the changing landscape of portfolio management, major contracts, procurement reform, who does what, where to go for answers, engagement mechanisms and policy updates.

If you sell to Government, come along to gain insights into changes in Government portfolios, upcoming opportunities, key contacts and navigation assistance when taking your offerings to the Government market.

As a Government buyer you will be offered visibility into the market trends, opportunities to hear about with innovative solutions and engage with the entire industry through a centralised body (AIIA).

All attendees will be able to network in small table groups, have their questions answered, meet potential collaboration partners and network across the entire sector to increase your knowledge and contact base.

The intent is to allow open discussion and information sharing between buyers and sellers to enable greater transparency, understanding and collaboration, which in turn creates opportunity for productivity gains, innovation and improved outcomes for all stakeholders.

AIIA and the SA Government have a long-standing relationship and consider each other’s “microphone” regarding industry and public sector engagement.

Whilst this event is specific to the information industry, content will be aimed towards contract managers, sales and account management teams, national representatives of organisations, and

anyone with a role in engaging with or on behalf of the Government in South Australia. Your peers in procurement, IT, projects, major contracts, and policy and strategy will be there to meet you from the Government of South Australia.

Hear from Industry and Government Key Note Speakers on ICT Policy and Future Purchasing of the South Australian Government as well as Insights from interstate and international marketplace trends.

After speeches we will wrap up with a panel Q&A discussion, followed by a dedicated session for one on one engagement between Government and Industry, finishing with drinks and canapes for networking opportunities.

This provides a huge boost for businesses and the community through the flow-on benefits of jobs and additional economic activity.

The success of the role has also been recognised at local and national level with the State government enacting the Industry Advocate Act in January 2018.
