Graeme Edwards
Detective Senior Constable, Cyber and Identity Crime, Financial and Cyber Crime Group, State Crime Command, Queensland Police Service
Graeme has spent approximately 26 years in law enforcement, with approximately 14 of those as a detective investigating cybercrime and the many variations there are of financial crimes. He has investigated numerous forms of financial and cybercrime leading to many successful prosecutions in Queensland and international jurisdictions. These investigations have provided a unique insight into how financial and cybercriminals operate, especially those operating within an organisation.
Graeme has successfully completed a Doctorate of Information Technology with a thesis of investigating cybercrime in a cloud-computing environment, a Masters of Information Technology (Security) and a Bachelor of Business Studies (Information Technology). He is currently writing a Masters of Information Technology course for a Queensland University. He has recently resigned as President of the Brisbane chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners after completing two years service.
Dr. Graeme Edwards is the Director of CYBERi Pty Ltd, a company that places focus upon training, support, education and consultancy services to businesses on matters relating to cyber security, cloud computing and incident response.
