The COVID situation continues to provide challenges creating uncertainty, complexity and risk to hosting in person events. With that in mind, the AIIA therefore, has no other option but to revert our 2021 iAwards ceremonies around the country to a virtual format. Whilst not ideal, the 2020 iAwards virtual ceremonies proved to be an enormous success and we are confident of a quality production again this year.
Our judging is in progress, and we are excited about the entries that will be presented to you this year.
Anyone who purchased tickets to the in-person ceremony will receive a refund less the price of a virtual ticket, being just $40 (ex GST) which will enable you to receive a code to dial in to the virtual ceremonies. The dates of the virtual ceremonies will remain the same as originally published however as a special gesture for winners and merit recipients this year, there will be a small private State Cocktail Reception to provide all our successful entries with their prestigious Winner’s Trophies and Merit Certificates. These dates will be published in due course.
We apologise for any inconvenience, but the situation has been out of our control. We thank you and all our sponsors for their continued support of the iAwards program.
Celebrating our Victorian iAwards nominees – 2021
Once again, Victoria has been plunged into lockdown creating challenges with our ability to present our iAwards given the 7 day restrictions imposed by the Victorian Government. The impact of this lockdown is that our production team is unable to come together to deliver the backend to our virtual event as was planned on June 1st.
Given this therefore, we will have to postpone the awards ceremony. The decision has been made to reschedule the event to Wednesday June 16th and present it in a virtual format to ensure minimal risk of a further postponement. I am sure you appreciate that these changes are necessary and the circumstances are beyond our control. Thank you for your continued support.
