‘Addressing Productivity Decline – the Public Sector Challenge’
Ajilon’s Strategic Lead (Public Sector), Paul Wilkins, will provide an overview of current contestability policy and suggest that having succeeded in its original intent of creating a mixed Public Economy, it is now acting as a ‘brake’ on further cost and productivity returns. Using a selected portfolio as a case study, a possible means to release this ‘brake’ will be proposed. This implies major change in approaches to policy development and procurement by government and suppliers.
