AIIA Victoria ‘Public Sector Tribe Event’ Victorian Government Workplace Transformation

The AIIA Victoria Council invites you to attend the September Public Sector Tribe lunch and networking event, to be held on Thursday, 20 September, 2018.

This series of events is focused on building a committed community across the tech industry and government, recognising strengths in building networks and holding regular discussions to address many of the issues facing our industry.

Central to these monthly Tribe events will be presentations from government executives on their charters and challenges, the September event will feature Emma Eastwood, Director, Workforce Branch, Victorian Public Sector Commission and Gordon Caris, A/ Lead Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services Group, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.

The AIIA is excited to provide our community with the opportunity to access these insights into government machinations as we get closer to the Victorian state election.

Emma Eastwood
Director, Workforce Branch, Victorian Public Sector Commission

Emma is an executive leader focused on delivering positive social change.

She is currently leading two streams of work. The first is increasing the effectiveness of the Victorian public sector, delivering new ways to attract and build a workforce that is fit for the future. The second deals with positive strategies, programs and services to address disadvantage and promote inclusion and equality.

She has diverse experiences – in the public service, and as an independent consultant, barrister and solicitor, and advocate – across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.

She has set strategy, led change agendas and delivered value across a broad range of areas, including leadership and workforce development, Treaty and self-determination, tertiary education, residential aged care, constitutional and electoral policy, community development, disability and employment law.
