Efy has completed a degree in Construction Management at RMIT University and has worked for a number of Melbourne’s major builders during her career. She has extensive experience in commercial and residential projects, having worked for a number of building companies, prior to her role as the Claims Manager at the Housing Guarantee Fund Ltd (HGFL). 

Efy is a past Board Member of the Architects Registration Board of Victoria and in August 2009, was appointed the first female President of the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building (AIB). Efy was awarded the prestigious NAWIC Crystal Vision Award in October 2011, in recognition of her achievements in advancing the interests of women in the construction industry.
