Hong Kong presents Australian ICT companies with a business friendly, low risk and low tax market. Hong Kong is Asia’s global financial services hub and the preferred legal jurisdiction for many organisations trading in the region. A major Asian trading hub, Hong Kong is also the idea gateway into China. Add to this world-class infrastructure, a capitalist economy and “Hong Kong Basic Law”, and the benefits for Australian ICT companies trading with Hong Kong are clear.
Taiwan is a world leader in innovation, boasting the world’s largest per capita registration of innovation patents. On the ICT front, Taiwan is recognized as a leader in ICT performance, with the World Economic Forum ranking Taiwan 11 out of 142 countries for network readiness. There are significant opportunities in Taiwan for Australian ICT companies in software development, digital content provision, and database development and management.
The AIIA Exporter Club – with the support of the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR), and in association with the Export Council of Australia – is delighted to invite you to joint event on doing business in Hong Kong and Taiwan. This event will focus on the opportunities available to Australian ICT companies in these important markets, as well as giving valuable insights into dealing with the challenges of working in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. You will hear from market experts and companies successfully doing business in the market and you will have the opportunity to ask questions of all the speakers in a panel environment.
There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and to network with other ICT exporters and Government representatives.
