AIIA WA Sundowner “Public Sector Digital Innovation – parallels between UK and Australia and where are the opportunities”
Details
Australia’s innovation scene has been building momentum in recent years and is not nearly at its peak. Through innovation centres, hackathons and collaborative spaces, businesses are embracing innovation like never before.
The government’s innovation agenda was announced in November 2015 which spotlight’s the importance of innovation to the Australian economy. The burning question is how we take a collaborative approach to innovation between industry, government and academia to position Australia as #1 in innovation.
Steve Andreazza and John Grohovaz will reflect on the Federal government’s Innovation Agenda initiative in conjunction with existing programs such as the R&D tax incentive which was implemented to encourage innovation in industry.
John Kat will provide an overview of UK Trade & Investment and how UKTI can help your company navigate the UK market. John will provide insights into the UK tech ecosystem, provide a broad look at the Innovate UK agency, and highlight opportunities for Australian SME’s to work with the UK Government including through initiatives like the G-Cloud network.
