Craig Kennedy joined Cuscal as Managing Director in December 2008.
He has been a member of the NPP Australia Limited Board since its inception and is keen to continue with his contribution to the success of the organisation. Prior to this, Craig was an Inaugural member of the Real Time Payments Committee which first met in September 2012 to prepare a proposal to the Payments Board. The proposal evolved as the New Payments Platform Program.
The attributes, skills and experience which he can continue to bring and are relevant to his Directorship with NPPA Board include:
- More than 15 years as a Company Director, including listed and unlisted public companies
- Diverse MD/CEO and General Management experience in both B2C and B2B environments
- Deep leadership experience in Australian payments including the successful implementation of one of Australia’s most complicated payment switch programs
- Successful track record in developing “challenger” businesses, often from a start-up or turnaround situation, both domestically and offshore.
- Unique and innovative retail banking experience as both an industry competitor and supplier.
- Significant digital/online experience that includes leading some world firsts such as Host Card Emulation (HCE) transactions on mobile.
- Strong communication skills as demonstrated by track record with media and shareholder relations and successful negotiations with both domestic and international corporations.
- Broad experience with regulators including ACCC, ASIC, APRA, RBA and AUSTRAC.
As well as his Cuscal Board role, Craig is also a Director of NPP Australia Limited and APCA (Australian Payments Clearing Association).

Adrian Lovney

NPP Australia Limited
Adrian commenced as the inaugural CEO of NPP Australia Limited in September 2016. The New Payments Platform (NPP) is new national infrastructure for Australia’s payments.
Commencing in the second half of 2017, it will provide Australian businesses and consumers with a fast, flexible, data-rich payments system for making their everyday payments, and provide a platform for future growth and innovation.
Prior to joining NPP Australia Ltd, Adrian was General Manager, Product & Service at Cuscal Ltd, a leading independent provider of payment solutions including card and acquiring products, mobile payments, fraud prevention, EFT switching and direct entry. Adrian was responsible for all product management and operational functions, marketing, sales, and client service.
Cuscal is a founding participant of the Real Time Payments Committee and Adrian was one of several senior staff deeply involved in the design, development and governance of Australia’s NPP.
Adam Reid
Laszlo Peter
Executive Manager, CommSec IT Strategy
Commonwealth Bank
Laszlo Peter is an executive manager at the Commonwealth Bank, most recently responsible for the CommSec IT Strategy. He is researching new and emerging technologies that can help CommSec consolidate its leading position as the premier full service retail broker. He also takes an active role in the bank’s innovation initiatives, running several experiments and proof of concepts.
Laszlo has extensive experience in financial markets and corporate banking, previously leading the banks’ Institutional Equities and Client Coverage, Corporate Digital Channels and Business Foreign Exchange IT departments.
Prior to joining CBA, Laszlo worked in Amsterdam as a capital markets consultant with investment and trading firms in The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. He has degrees in mathematics and computer science, and management development studies from MIT. He is a passionate traveller and keen photographer, and author of several travel books.

Alexis Rouch is a business and change leader with twenty-five years’ experience working in major organisations in Australia, UK, Europe and Asia leading the delivery of strategic business outcomes.
At AMP, Alexis holds the position of IT Director – AMP Capital and Advice, Banking & Corporate Super. In this role she is responsible for the IT strategy for business-critical, customer facing programs. Prior to working at AMP, Alexis held a number of senior leadership positions at a range of organisations, including – ANZ, Accenture, PwC and Vodafone. A key focus for Alexis is providing inspirational and consistent leadership, working with stakeholders and developing teams to ensure long-term sustainable change.
