AIIA Big Data Analytics Summit – ‘Navigating Big Data’

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

}12:00am

NATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE, 31 CONSTITUTION AVENUE, CANBERRA, ACT 2601

Details

Some people say that Big Data is going through the ‘hype-cycle’, that in fact it is ‘over hyped’ and that it is only now reaching a stage of productivity.

AIIA’s Navigating Big Data Summit, with keynote speaker Parviz Peiravi from Intel, will be busting this Big Data myth during one of the Summit’s keynote presentations, offering insights into why Big Data is a great tool for governments and businesses.  He will also share success stories illustrating how organisations are achieving crucial business benefits through the use of Big Data.

Parviz Peiravi is one of a great line up of expert speakers who will gather in Canberra on 13 March to discuss and explore the opportunities that Big Data can provide both government and industry.  Robert Hillard from Deloitte will lead a panel discussion focused on “Big Data, Big Opportunities” and Ian Bertram from Gartner will be exploring the topic “You Know Its Big Data When…”.  In addition, Glenn Archer from AGIMO will be providing an insight into the “Government Plans for Big Data Analytics”.

“The Evolution of Big Paper to Big Data” – hear from Adobe how government organisations are transforming their processes to provide more engaging citizen experiences with greater efficiency using advances in analytics, mobile and security technologies.

This Summit is a must for federal government CIO’s, Government policy decision-makers, commentators, and business and industry stakeholders; in fact anyone who has an interest in driving productive and economic gains from Big Data opportunities
