David Apelt
Chief Technology Officer, Transmax

David Apelt is Chief Technology Officer at Transmax, a full-service ITS solutions provider of the international award-winner ITS platform STREAMS. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in the IT field and was involved with two Brisbane-based start-ups that have now matured into successful, multinational companies. In both these businesses he held roles that included Chief Technical Officer, Software Architect, and Lead Software Engineer.

As Chief Technical Officer at Transmax, David is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s business model and managing the products and services which are critical to ensuring the company’s continuing growth and commercial viability. David focuses on the application of technology to digitally enable businesses and pivoting existing business models to provide greater outcomes.  David’s passion for technology means supporting road agency customers to minimise congestion and provide greater safety outcomes for the community.

David has a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Information Technology from QUT.
