Simon Bush
Chief Executive Officer
Simon is an experienced business leader and strategic thinker with a career covering government, ICT, management consulting and media sectors. Through his own business, Simon has advised many of the world’s leading business consulting and technology companies in developing and implementing business strategies including assisting clients win large transformation deals as well as shape government policy and procurements worth billions to the industry.As the current CEO of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), Simon represents the Australian tech sector to government, industry and media. He has been appointed to numerous government advisory committees covering digital health, procurement and skills and cyber security.Simon’s early career included being a senior ministerial adviser in the federal government and held a senior management role at Accenture before setting up his own advisory and consulting business in 2003. Prior to joining the AIIA, Simon was also the long-term CEO of the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association (AHEDA) representing thr Australian home entertainment film and TV industry with members including: Disney, Foxtel, Warner Bros, Sony, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Roadshow, Madman, Paramount and Fetch TV.Simon has an Honours degree in Political Science from the Australian National University and the University of California, San Diego. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has written many Op Eds in major Australian media publications and is a sought-after conference speaker, MC and moderator on technology issues.
Stephan Scheffer
Chief Financial Officer
Stephan is an experienced CFO & COO with a demonstrated capability of adding value to high growth Australian and International Companies in the Technology , Renewables , BioTech and Professional Services sectors, with particular emphasis on the commercialisation of technology and unique disruptive IP to achieve strategic goals. Skilled in Financial Management , Negotiation, Strategic Business Planning, Operations Management, IPO , VC funds raising , international Transfer Pricing , SME/start-ups , ASX , Systems improvement , ERP implementation and much more he brings real depth and on the ground knowledge and experience to the AIIA. Stephan is also a Chartered Accountant, MBA, Finance Graduate and Member of the AICD.
Regine Vandenberg
GM Events and Marketing
Regine has 20 years’ senior leadership experience in the Australian events industry, with an extensive background in business management, event operations and stakeholder management. Regine is an energetic and enthusiastic promoter of new ideas and initiatives, well respected for her clear strategic thinking skills and ‘can do attitude’. As a purposeful, service-oriented industry professional Regine will work with AIIA Councils to develop a regular calendar of national, state and territory events to generate financially viable events which provide benefits to both current and potential new members.
Siew Lee Seow
GM of Policy and Media
Siew Lee is an executive leader with over 15-year experience in policy development and stakeholder engagement, demonstrating a reliable skill for strategic and pragmatic planning. She champions collaboration, valuing it as a key driver in producing sound policy advice, which has gained recognition and implementation by various governments and partners throughout the Asia Pacific. In her career, Siew Lee has skillfully managed policy projects with themes as diverse as cybersecurity, online financial crimes, digital identity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Free Trade Agreements. Most recently, she played a significant role in enhancing multi-sectoral cooperation through her work on the National Anti-Scam Centre in the Australian Payments Network. She also contributed to initiating and shaping the AI Ethics Policy in the NSW Government. Siew Lee’s academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Macquarie University, a Master of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Business Law, from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and International Relations, in University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Her legal and business background solidifies her professional expertise, allowing her to approach policy formulation with a well-rounded perspective.
Erynn Coxon

Erynn is a dedicated professional with a passion for fostering meaningful connections and building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Her experience spans across diverse industries such as Energy, Education, and Water Treatment; and she remains steadfast in her commitment to the principles of exceptional customer service, meaningful engagement, and personal growth.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Erynn is an avid enthusiast of strength training. She finds solace in the gym, dedicating time to maintain her physical well-being and mental clarity.
She also has a love for the Carlton Football Club and enjoys the camaraderie and excitement of the game with her family.

Van Nguyen
Events and Marketing Coordinator
Van is an Events and Marketing professional with a history of working in the Information Technology and Financial Services industries. With 5+ years of experience across technical consulting, financial advisory and marketing communications implementation, a Master of Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), Van brings the skills, knowledge and the ability to work and grow in the fast moving technology sector and ever changing economic climate. Currently an Events and Marketing Coordinator at the AIIA, Van is committed to supporting the AIIA’s Events and Marketing initiatives, as well as her personal and professional growth in the role.
Tim Sae-lim

Tim has over 10 years of experience in customer service and administration, specialising in banking, education, IT support, and disability services. Before joining AIIA, he worked with various organisations, including NAB and Comm Bank, where he excelled in system maintenance and general administration. Tim has extensive experience working with CRM systems and Salesforce.

Ron Gauci

Ron is a leader of the ICT industry with significant experience in senior leadership and executive roles in ASX & NYSE listed, global multinational organisations such as Microsoft, Telstra, Siebel, Verizon Business and IBM. Ron is widely recognised as a transformation specialist, having delivered success despite significant challenges and adversity. Ron is also a former Victorian Chairman of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and a former national Director of the AIIA as well. Most notably, Ron has also held significant roles outside the industry, including Interim positions as CEO at Fed Square, Melbourne Storm, and Melbourne Polytechnic (Formerly NMIT). As CEO & MD of the Melbourne Storm, Ron navigated the club to success post the Salary Cap scandal that rocked the sporting world. Despite not having any direct experience in rugby league, he oversaw the restoration of the Storm to what was at that time its most successful level since its inception in 1998 and the club is now an NRL powerhouse. Ron also built and implemented a recovery strategy for the financially challenged Melbourne Polytechnic. Today the institute is recognised as one of the leaders in dual sector education in Australia. Ron has also held senior positions in some of the largest multinational and domestic technology organisations. Ron is a Graduate of the AICD and has extensive Board experience across a variety of different industries. He is a former Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a former member of the International CEO Forum and held a position on the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). Ron is married with five children and six grandchildren. He has a long history of active involvement in sport and music which includes being a member of the executive covers band Big Kahuna.

Simon has over 20 years' experience in government and corporate stakeholder management specialising in government relations and business advisory services. Prior to establishing Bush-Consulting in 2003, Simon worked in the Federal Government as a Senior Policy Adviser to a Cabinet Minister in the late 1990’s and from 2000-2003 held the position of Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs A/NZ for Accenture leading it through a period of major change.Through Bush-Consulting, Simon has advised many of the world's leading business consulting and ICT companies in developing and implementing their government relations and business strategies including assisting clients win multi-million dollar deals. Simon has particular expertise in the ICT, defence, human services, health and media and entertainment sectors.Some of the clients Simon has advised include: Accenture, Telstra, SAP, Fujitsu Business, Huawei, BearingPoint, Google, Verizon Business, Avanade, Vault Cloud, ANZSA and CA.Prior to joining the AIIA, Simon was the CEO of the Australian Home Entertainment Distributors Association (AHEDA), a role he has had since 2003. As CEO, Simon represented the $1.2 billion Australian home entertainment film and TV industry to a varied group of stakeholders and has been instrumental in guiding it through numerous major government regulatory, legislative (including international agreements) and technology driven business challenges. A recent success includes passage of legislation allowing courts to block infringing websites. AHEDA members include major studios Disney, Sony, Roadshow, Paramount, Universal, Warners and Fox as well as Telstra, Fetch TV and Foxtel.Simon has an Honours degree in Political Science from the Australian National University and the University of California, San Diego. Sue has been a professional contributor to the I.T Industry for many years; commencing her formal training as a qualified Software Engineer (Systems Analyst/Programmer) - Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing) in 1983. Since then, Sue has seen the I.T Industry evolve from rudimentary networking, communication and software application platforms through to fully integrated, large scale voice/data networking and communications systems, sophisticated enterprise data and analytics platforms and a plethora of fit-for-purpose, innovative digital applications, often hosted in the cloud, that symbolise the agility and flexibility that consumers are seeking from today’s “IT solutions”.With a passion to work directly with clients and to help solve their business challenges, Sue transitioned to a successful sales and advisory career. Most recently, Sue spent the last 7 years (2012-2019) working for the world’s largest business analytics software company, SAS Institute. There, she provided business analytics solutions to one of Australia’s largest Tier 1 banks and designed an anti-money laundering and real-time fraud detection and prevention capability to meet the Bank’s regulatory and consumer requirements.In addition to her commercial pursuits, Sue has been a major contributor within the Australian Software Industry itself. Sue’s contribution to the DCITA (Department of Communications & Information Technology) funded “Software Engineering Australia” organisation from 2001 to 2004, involved representing the voice of the Australian Software Industry in 12 events across the nation, including SEA’s first national conference. During that time, Sue held the National Marketing Manager role and ultimately moved into managing the Education business within SEA before being acquired by Object Consulting to head up the national Object Training business in March 2005.Sue manages to blend the challenges of an I.T career with the nurturing of her family plus she manages to find time to contribute to voluntary tasks within her community. Rosemary has returned to the AIIA having previously worked with the Victorian Council and our current CEO some ten years ago.During her absence from the AIIA, Rosemary played an integral role in the digital transformation of the conveyancing profession as the National Secretary of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers. She has a solid understanding of the industry association / not-for-profit sector and brings a diverse skillset to the AIIA to support the CEO and leadership team.Rosemary brings over thirty years of professional service to her role at AIIA, and is currently enjoying building strong, viable relationships with AIIA members and potential members and sponsors.Located in VIC

Priscilia Low is an experienced CFO with diverse and broad experiences in all areas of Finance including International Taxation, Treasury and Legal spanning across all countries in the Asia Pacific Region.She started her career with PWC Singapore as a Taxation Specialists which lead her to a long career with Hewlett Packard Singapore and Australia in different areas starting as a Taxation Manager looking after Tax Compliance and planning for Asia Pacific. Priscilia brings with her a wealth of experiences in Spin-offs and Mergers and Acquisition having worked on many projects including the Agilent Spin offs, Compaq and EDS Mergers and many acquisitions such as Opsware, Neoware and Exstream.Moving to Melbourne twenty years ago, Priscilia became the South Pacific Controllership Manager within Hewlett Packard and subsequently joined British Petroleum (BP) leading the Corporate Accounting Team comprising of Banking, Taxation and Corporate Reporting teams with local revenue of over $20b.Prior to joining AIIA, Priscilia was the Asia Pacific CFO/Director for Kodak with accountability for all the Finance Operations in the Asia Pacific Region.Priscilia also has a great passion for capability building and people management having learnt her management style from the “Hewlett Packard Way” and is a strong advocate for respect, diversity and inclusive workplace environment. She has been a mentor for CPA programs and had also rolled out Capability programs while at BP by tailoring training in house.Priscilia is a CPA with a Degree in Accounting from Curtin University of Technology and has a Master of Government and Commercial Law from ANU and is currently pursuing a Masters in Data Science (Strategy and Leadership) with RMIT.Located in VIC
