Overview

How can the Commonwealth Government serve citizens better and what is the role for digital service delivery?

Shadow Minister for Government Services and the Digital Economy Paul Fletcher will deliver a keynote address to AIIA members and guests, sharing the Federal Coalition’s perspectives on Commonwealth service delivery and the role of digital innovation.

AIIA’s CEO Simon Bush will moderate a panel with Paul and NSW Member of the NSW Legislative Council Jacqui Munro to delve deeper into this matter.

Speakers

The Hon. Paul Fletcher MP

Manager of Opposition Business in the House, Shadow Minister for Government Services and the Digital Economy, and Shadow Minister for Science and the Arts

Paul Fletcher has been the Member for Bradfield since 2009.

From 2013 to 2022 he was successively a Parliamentary Secretary, Minister, and Cabinet Minister. Apart from nine months as Minister for Social Services, Paul’s front bench service was largely in communications and infrastructure.

He was Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities, and the Arts in the Morrison Government. Paul is now Shadow Minister for Science, Arts, Government Services, and the Digital Economy.

Before politics Paul’s extensive private sector experience included eight years on the Senior Management Team at Optus.

Paul has dual first class honours degrees in law and economics from Sydney University and an MBA from Columbia University in New York where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

The Hon. Jacqui Munro, MLC

Member of Parliament in the NSW Upper House

The Hon. Jacqui Munro MLC is a Member of Parliament in the NSW Upper House, elected in March 2023.

Ms Munro is the youngest Liberal woman to be elected to the NSW Legislative Council, and the NSW Liberal Party’s first LGBTQI+ woman Parliamentarian.

Ms Munro is particularly passionate about supporting innovation for the state’s prosperity and developing housing and land tax policy that is equitable and sustainable for all residents.

She holds a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Sydney and worked for state and federal Parliamentarians before beginning her career as a PR and communications professional.
