Dr Tanya Kelly

Acting Deputy Director-General

eHealth Queensland

 

Dr Tanya Kelly is currently acting Deputy Director-General, eHealth Queensland, leading Queensland’s public health digital modernisation agenda in support of Queensland Health priorities and broader system reforms.
She is an experienced and active senior clinician (anaesthetist) who has held clinical leadership roles for the past 10 years, including as Director of Anaesthesia within the Sunshine Coast and providing clinical leadership and clinical strategic direction for digital health across the state-wide eHealth program.

As the recent Chair of the Queensland Clinical Senate, Dr Kelly is keen to ensure that healthcare in Queensland is safe, highly effective and maximises the opportunities provided by clinician and consumer co-design, to provide a responsive healthcare system that meets the needs of consumers.

Beyond her clinical practice, she has qualifications in clinical redesign, business and is a Certified Health Informatician (CHIA). Dr Kelly has also contributed to the development of the Queensland Health Artificial Intelligence Framework and Plan.

Travis is a results-focused Australian health system executive, currently contributing to the mission of Healthdirect Australia as its Chief Operating Officer. He has 20 years’ experience in the health and social services industry, including 14 years in senior executive positions across State, Territory, and Commonwealth systems. Travis has devoted his career to advancing equitable access to healthcare and improving health outcomes for Australia’s diverse population across its vast landscape.

Dr James Cafaro

Executive Director of Medical Services and Deputy CEO

Ramsay Health

 

James Cafaro is the Deputy CEO and Executive Director of Medical Services for Greenslopes Private Hospital, a part of Ramsay Health Care Australia. He is an experienced executive and healthcare administrator having worked across both the public and private sector. Dr Cafaro is also the acting Chief Medical Information Officer for Ramsay Health Care Australia, advising and supporting the implementation of many transformation opportunities for a complex multi-state healthcare provider with over 70 sites and 30,000 employees.
