Minister Counsellor & Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner 

Austrade Korea and Mongolia 

Julie commenced her role as Austrade’s Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for Korea and Mongolia in January 2021. Her role is focused on attracting Korean investors to Australia and growing Australia’s goods and services trade to Korea and Mongolia.

 

Julie has almost 30 years of Health and Biotech experience before joining Austrade, including roles at the University of Melbourne, Neurology Ireland Limited, Florey Neuroscience Institutes, Victorian Cancer Biobank, Australian Phenomics Network and Bionic Vision Technologies Pty Ltd.

Nicole Kim

Head of Investment Marketing Team, Seoul Business Agency 

Nicole Kim is with Invest Seoul, an investment promotion agency. As Managing Director, she manages the SBA investment in helping foreign investors and entrepreneurs develop their business successfully in Seoul, Korea. By providing in ground support, networks into Korean businesses and sharing information on the support the Seoul city provides to foreign companies to set up in Seoul.

 

Nicole has also been active with the Korean start-up ecosystem. Managing Seoul Metropolitan Government largest start up accelerator the Seoul Start-up Hub supporting international start-ups set up in their incubating programme.

Senior Manager, Korea Institute of Start-ups and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED)

Chae-eun CHO is a senior manager of Korea Institute of Start-ups and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED).

KISED is a leading institution in the Korean start-up ecosystem under the Ministry of SMEs and Start-ups (MSS).

KISED provides start-ups with comprehensive services from infrastructure, education, marketing, events, research & analysis, and global expansion.

KISED aims to contribute to the development of the national economy through the growth of start-up businesses and job opportunities and promote the technology-based start-ups of future entrepreneurs by cultivating entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Dr Bonhoon Kim

Founder and Chief, Global Innovation Cluster Centre, Hanyang University

Dr Bonhoon Kim is the founder and chief of the Hanyang University’s Global Cluster Center. Having a background in Economics (PhD, University of Florida), he has built an extensive experience in the R&D programmes and policies and is part of the advisory board of KISTEP (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Planning and Evaluation).

Some of the main projects he is currently involved in include National AI policy project, Autonomous vehicle project, National Cluster for Aerospace Project and National Cluster for E-mobility Project.
